Quiet walking films through France

Quiet walking films through lesser known places in southern France

Walk France is a quiet walking film project created to share lesser known places across southern France. Filmed on foot and without commentary, each walk follows natural paths through mountains, lakes, forests, and villages in Hรฉrault, Aude, Gard, and Aveyron. The films are slow and observational, offering calm company rather than instruction or explanation.

Walk France grew from a lifelong habit of walking with family and spending time outdoors. After moving to France, many of these landscapes felt like places that should be shared. That feeling deepened after a close family member was diagnosed with dementia, bringing the realisation that some journeys can no longer be taken together. The project became a way to continue sharing those landscapes, both for others and for people who may not always be able to get out into nature themselves.

Walk France is created by Kerry Morgan and Ross Malcolm. Kerry films quietly from behind the camera, while Ross leads each walk.

Their approach keeps the focus on the experience of moving through the landscape, rather than on the individuals themselves. The walks are calm and unhurried, rooted in the belief that time outdoors can ease mental noise and restore a sense of balance.
